HERO DOG

Executive Director, Rick Johnson and Hero Dog, Scruffy

A hero animal is one who helps the other animals at the Shelter by raising money for their care. "Heroes" have higher adoption fees than most of our pets. The money goes to cover care for special needs animals. SCRUFFY HAS BEEN ADOPTED!

HELP SAVE A LIFE - OUR SPACE IS SHRINKING -
WE NEED TEMPORARY FOSTERS

The Humane Society of Cowlitz County is undergoing some much needed remodeling. This means we will be unable to house as many dogs as usual, until it's completion. The poor, lost dogs just keep coming in. Please help us help them. Taking a dog into your home as a foster can be a happy, and rewarding experience. It also can be extra work, and a period of adjustment for both you, and the dog. If you can be a Foster Dog Parent you will be saving a life, and giving a good dog, a second chance. Please call today, and volunteer to take home a Foster Dog. Adoption Coordinator, Kristi McReynolds will explain all the details, and work with you closely as you foster your new friend. Call her today, 360 577-0151, or email her at cowlitzhumane@hotmail.com
